i2Telecom Expands Distribution of VoIP Products in China

Guang-Shen Technology, China affiliate of US media giant AC Nielson, becomes exclusive distributor of i2Telecom products in Hai-Nan province

BOCA RATON, Fla.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Aug. 5, 2004-- i2Telecom International, Inc. (OTCBB:ITUI), an emerging leader in voice/data communications technology for the Internet, today announced that Guang-Shen Technology Inc., a leading provider of marketing-related services to Small and Medium Enterprises (SME) in China, has signed an exclusive agreement to distribute i2Telecom products in China's southernmost province, Hai-Nan.
Guang-Shen Technology offers market research and marketing-related services to SME's in China. Their well organized sales force of more than 300 sales executives and several independent agents reach a variety of key industries in Hai-Nan. With this new agreement, the company will significantly expand its offerings to include business services that leverage its existing market reach and technological expertise. The initial order is for 400 InternetTalker(TM) microgateways to be shipped immediately, with additional monthly orders to follow. While their core focus will be their existing customer base of SMEs, Guang-Shen will also be targeting the higher education market and consumers with home offices.

"We have long recognized that China is one of the world's most rapidly developing communications opportunities, and we made a significant investment in people and resources to deliver VoIP services there," said Rick Scherle, Senior Vice President of Marketing at i2Telecom International, Inc. "This partnership not only gives us access to Guang-Shen's large and growing customer base, it reaffirms our position as a true multinational player."

i2Telecom made a major commitment to the development of the VoIP market in China, building a network operations center in Foshan, China which went live in April of this year. The Company has had a successful partnership with China Unicom for over a year, but this agreement marks the first distribution arrangement with a provincial distributor.

"i2Telecom was selected because it has demonstrated the ability to deliver high-quality VoIP services in China," said Ms. Yang Bi-Qing, a director on the board of Guang-Shen Technology. "We believe that i2Telecom's VoIP products and ADV platform create new business and revenue opportunities which complement Guang-Shen's core market services offerings."

The ADV (Advanced Digital Voice) platform is i2Telecom's proprietary technology platform comprised of a tightly integrated combination of hardware, software and 'talkware' for next generation VoIP solutions. It consists of a new architecture for the Company's microgateway products, innovative applications built to the SIP standard, a global VoIP network, a global PSTN (Public Switched Telephone Network) interconnect network, and geographically dispersed Network Operation Centers.
