Hong Kong - a city of contrasts

Hong Kong is a city of contrasts - ancient traditions adjoin here with the ultra modern city look. This former British colony with the mainly Chinese population pretends to be the "meeting point" of the East and West.

China is known as one of the leaders in tea production - visit its Tea museum. It is located within Hong Kong park territory. The museum is housed one of the oldest colonial mansions in Hong Kong - Flagstaff House. Its permanent exposition is devoted to the Chinese tea. Here you can see a collection of 600 teapots and objects for the Chinese tea ceremony. In museum shop you can buy original teapot as a souvenir.
Chinese theatre is also world known. During your visit to Hong Kong you will have an opportunity to see its opera, ballet, drama, comedy, to know the peculiarities of the national dance and music. There are a lot of places in China to witness it.
Space theater in the Space museum - is an unforgettable experience. Here you can see newest movies, best computer space shows and a lot more.

Like China, Hong Kong does not participate in Daylight Saving Time so its time difference from much of the U.S. and Europe changes over the year. Hong Kong is 8 hours ahead of Greenwich Mean Time and 13 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time in the United States. However, during Daylight Saving Time in the U.S., Hong Kong is only 12 hours ahead of the eastern U.S.
